Requirements of the BFSG and BFSGV and compliance with these
According to Section 3 (1) of the Barrier-Free Access Act (BFSG), certain services offered or provided by an economic operator must be accessible. Services are accessible if they can be found, accessed and used by people with disabilities in the usual way, without particular difficulty and, in principle, without external assistance. The specific requirements for accessibility of services are set out in the Ordinance on Accessibility Requirements for Products and Services under the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSGV). The BFSGV contains specific requirements, particularly in Sections 12 and 19. For example, economic operators must provide information about how the service works in a specific manner. Websites, including associated online applications and services offered on mobile devices, must also be designed in a consistent and appropriate manner so that they are perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.
When designing our website, we comply with the EU standard EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 from 2023 with regard to accessibility. The WCAG distinguishes between three levels of accessibility requirements (A, AA, AAA). Schiesser GmbH strives to meet these requirements through sufficient colour contrasts, navigation and the use of alternative texts, among other things. If you notice any content that is not accessible despite legal obligations, please let us know using the following contact details:
